Day 1 Spring Card Camp 2

Hello crafty friends, it is Day 1 of the Spring Card Camp 2 . I had so much fun with Card Camp 1 and learned so much that when Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner announced there was going to be a 2nd Camp I signed up right away. It is definitely worth checking out. Here is the link.

Marvelous Masking

For my cards I went with a large ballon and Monogram H which I printed off on my computer. The distress ink colors I used for the balloon were Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry and Mustard Seed. For the H I used Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagooon.

Using Versafine Onyx Black Ink I stamped small images on the bottom half of the inked images. Best part of masking an image is taking the mask off after you have ink blended it.

When I removed the masking paper I realized that my H was higher than where I originally wanted it. It almost ended up in the trash. I decided to keep going and see if I could salvage it.

I used sentiments from Mama Elephant Hello Friends Wishes and Altenew Birthday Builder set which is amazing , it has so many different fonts of just Happy Birthday. So many to choose from. I popped up both panels on fun foam and added sequins and a few ink splatters to finish off the cards. Really had fun with this technique. Printing off large letters with your printer is an awesome idea, great way to make a fun personalized card.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by today. Hope to see you soon with another card. Stay safe and stay healthy.
