Hi crafty friends, hope you are having a fun weekend. Day 2 Camp of the Online Card Class was all about Making our own stripes by Jennifer McGuire. So much fun and so many possibilities.
Using Neenah Solar White card stock and painters tape I started adding in random stripes using Distress Oxide ink colors Worn Lipstick, Candied Apple , Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn, Wilted Violet and Peacock Feathers. Had to be really careful pealing the tape of as I worked my way across the panel. This is my second try , my first one I ended tearing a part of the cardstock off .
After finishing off the stripes I added in smaller images from SSS Spring Flowers with White Pigment ink and some thin stripes with my light grey tombow marker. I stamped the MFT Fresh Cut Flowers with my Versafine Black Tuxedo Ink. Loving the way this had turned out.
I finished the card off with some black and white ink splatters and YNS Gumdrops. This was such a fun technique. I need to invest in some purple tape. I found the painters tape way to sticky.
