Hello Crafty Friends, hope everyone is having a good start to the week. It is a holiday here in Canada so this is my Sunday ๐ Here is my take on the Letter Substitution class taught by Channin Pelletier. Link for Online Card Classes here.
I pulled out my Canson watercolor paper and used Distress ink Oxide to paint the background. The colors I used were Salty Ocean, Chipped Sapphire, Mowed Lawn and Peeled Paint. I ended up using my heat gun to speed up the drying process. I am not very patient when it comes to my watercoloring. I added some paint splatters for a little something something. ๐
I pulled out the moose from Paper Smooches Chubby Chums and did a quick coloring with my copic markers. The colors I used are listed below. Using some patterned Kraft card stock I cut out the letters using the Altenew Bold Alphabets. I did darken the bottom of the letters using Distress Oxide Gathered Twigs. Popped them up on foam tape and centered them on the panel. I needed the words I and You so had to do some stamp surgery. I used to avoid chopping up my stamps but now I find I do all the time. End up getting so much more use from them. Finished off with some YNS gumdrops
My final panel dimensions were 3 3/4 X 9 ” on a 4 X 9 1/4 ” base
