HI Crafty friends, It is time for a new release from Your Next Stamp. For Day 1 of preview week I am sharing a card I made with the brand new adorable What Not Sentiments Fourteen and the Heart Shape Die. Each preview day, YNS will be giving away the stamp sets being showcased. Each individual set will go to a winner based on randomly selected comments left on the YNS blog , Designer’s blogs, YNS IG and YNS FB page. Winners will be announced on August 18th.
Using Neenah 80lb cardstock I die cut out the heart and used post it tape behind it to hold it in place. Working in rainbow order with my distress inks until I was happy with the look. I pulled out my Nuvo Glimmer paste , now this is where I made a mistake. I should have taken the heart and split it apart so that there was a small gap in between the spaces before I added the glimmer but unfortunatley I didn’t so what happened was after the glimmer paste dried you couldn’t see the lines. I ended up taking a sharp pair of scissors and carefully cut through all the lines of the heart.
Now to work on the background panel. For this I used Neenah 110lb piece of cardstock and ink blended with peacock feathers and added a few ink splatters. I don’t think i have made a card without ink splatters. I always find it just adds that extra something to a card. I decided to alternate the heart pieces with foam tape to add dimension. Embossed my sentiment using Brutus Monroe Alabaster white embossing powder.
To finish off the card I added a few YNS Gumdrops . Popped up the panel on a white card base. Love how this card turned out. This heart die just makes me so happy.
