Happy Sunday friends, I had received a few DM’s on a how I made the card below so today I wanted to share a step by step. For the original cardI used the gorgeous Triangle Burst embossing folder and XL Greetings 3 and a rainbow of distress inks but for this one I used the brand new SSS Pawsitively saturated inks. All the other steps were exactly the same. Here is the original card.
I cut a distress watercolor cardstock down to an A2 size and put down a little bit of the colors onto my craft mat. Spritz the panel with water and the ink and started layering. Like my previous posts I show that I always dry the panel with my heat tool in between each layer.
I do love grunging up my panels so I wanted to add some brown. But because I didn’t want the ink to move to much I add a little bit of Rusty hinge and Vintage Photo using a blender brush. Spritzed it with water from the spray bottle and picked up the water using a flour sack cloth. After I dried it using my heat tool.
I taped the panel down to the embossing folder and inked up the raised portion of the folder using Altenew Obsididean Pigment ink.
For added texture I add a few spritz of resist sprays. Remember to spray this in a box trust me I say that from experiance…lol After the panel dried I added some white splatters.
To finish off the card I trimmed the panel down to pop up on an A2 size card base. Embossed a sentiment from the XL Greetings 3 set and fussy cut it. I think I really need to invest in the coordinating die set. For the final touch I added some sequins.
