Hello crafty friends!! Hope you are doing really well. It is such an awesome time of the year for all crafters……Stamptember is here!! A whole month dedicated to stamping!!! There are lots of new products, fun surprises, and so much more. I am so very excited and super grateful to be a part of Simon Says Stamp’s STAMPtember Blog Party!! It’s not a blog hop, just a very big party with lots of awesome bloggers and Instagrammers.  Please check Simon Says Stamps blog page where they will have all the links to these amazing and very talented crafters. Today I am sharing a very fun and super easy card. Hope you like it. A special surprise at the end of this post. 🙂

I stamped the ghosts from My Boo stamp set onto Simon Says Stamp Vellum with Distress Embossing Ink and Black Embossing Powder. To heat set them, I used the Ranger heat tool (my embossing gun was a bit too hot and warped the vellum). Once cooled, I fussy cut all the little ghosts with my mini recoil scissors.

For the background start with an A2-sized piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and secure a moon stencil in place. Using a blending tool, layer on Distress Inks and Oxides, wilted violet, mustard seed, spiced marmalade, and blueprint sketch. Spritz the panel with water and dry it with a Ranger heat tool, repeating the inking, spritzing, and drying until you’re happy with the background. Remove the moon stencil, spritz the panel again so the colors move into the open circle, then heat set right away. Stencil in the moon using Hickory Smoke Archival Ink, and add splatters of White Picket Fence and Black Soot Distress Paint for texture. Once the panel is dry, apply Distress Opaque Texture Paste through a Script Mini stencil, then finish by stamping some fun Halloween images with Black Archival Ink.

Die cut “Boo” from the Big Frights Die set using Black Heavystock. For the background panel, cut a piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock and run it through one of my favorite embossing folders—Tree Rings (666049). The texture it adds almost gives the cardstock a spiderweb-like look, perfect for a spooky touch.

To finish the card, I layered all the pieces with foam tape and tucked the ghosts into place using collage medium. Finally, I popped the completed panel onto an A2 card base.
