STAMPtember 2022 | Tim Holtz Collaboration

Hey friends! I am so super excited to be sharing the Christmas Card I made with the new Tim Holtz Stamptember 2022 Stamp and Stencil set. This set is so beautiful with wonderful sentiments. It is definitley a must have. If you are new to Stamptember it is a yearly event at Simon Says Stamp where each day in September they release a new stamp set which is exclusivley callaborated with many wonderful stamp companies. They are one and done and they sell super fast so if you like it I would get it quick.

I stamped the Santa image onto 2 pieces of distress heavystock paper. One piece I used for the cardfront and the 2nd piece I used to color and cut up and used as dimensional pieces. By the way the new SSS scissors are great for fussy cut. They have such a nice feel.

For the background I used a mix of distress inks along with distress snow flurries mica which you switch out for the new gorgeous new Shiny Bauble and Winter Frost to add that bit of shimmer.

This is where unfortunatley I forgot to take pics as I worked on the card. I was derfinitley in the zone..lol. So sharing some closeups and explaing what I did. After I had inked up the background I stamped portions of the stamp from Advert CMS358 using black archival ink. Then spread on some crackle paint on some spots on the panel. After it had dried I went over it with picket fence and walnut stain crayon to show off the cracks.

For the Santa I had colored the toy sack on a 2nd piece of cardstock and cut it out to pop up on the panel. Used collage medium to add on some rock candy on the sack and all the white spots on santa’s clothing , finished it with a pom pom on his hat. For the tree I did the same as the sack but I wanted to add some snow. So I mixed up a bit of distress snowfall paste with a bit of opaque paste and added it to the edges of the tree. After I was done and it was dry I went over with the rest of the paste on the entire panel using the snow stencil that comes with this super fun stamp set.

To finish off the card I used my distresser tool to rough up the edges and stamped a sentiment onto black kraft stock. Popped up the panel onto fun foam and a 110lb card base.
