Painted Christmas Wreath | Simon Says Stamp

Had so much fun using distress paint to stamp out this gorgous SSS Painted Christmas Wreath.
Using my favorite Distress watercolor cardstock I spritz on speckled egg, antique linen and weathered wood. Stamped on the background stamp from Music and Advert CMS358 with hickory smoke archival ink.
Using a mix of distress paints and some oxide reinkers I stamped out the wreath. The paints are so amazing to stamp with , the images came out so bold and bright. I don’t own alot of colors and was missing twisted citron and abandon coral so used the oxide reinkers which worked out great.

I blended on some light mowed lawn and canddied apple. After inking up the blender brush and wiped some off on a scrap piece of paper. I just wanted a little bit of color. I added on splatters of a mix of black soot, acrylic white, candied apple and mowed lawn . Dried it with my ranger heat tool.

I wanted some shine on the wreath so added a drop to my glass mat and a couple of drops of Isopropyl alcohol to thin it out and using a brush added a few splatters. Stamped on the sentimen that came with the wreath using black soot archival ink. Distressed the edges using the distresser tool and went over the edges with vintage photo.

I popped up the paned onto a distress piece of kraft sock and white card base. To finish it off I added a bit of mushroom alcohol to metalic dropplets to distress them a little and added them to the centre of the pointsettas and scattered a few on the panel.

I love the shine you get from the foundry wax. This stamp is definitely a must have, it was so much fun to paint.
